• Overview
The WellTools flow actuated Tubing End Locator (TEL) gives the operator the ability to correlate well depth by locating on the Wireline entry guide (WEG) or the tubing nipple. As the WellTools TEL is hydraulically operated, multiple tags can be taken to further ensure the accuracy of the depth correlation.
A safety shear release system is incorporated as a fail safe in the unlikely event that the spring does not fully retract the tagging arms.
Following numerous successful field runs the TEL has proven to be extremely easy to set up and operate.
