• Overview
The WellTools Hydraulic Kick-Over Knuckle Joint is used to provide controlled articulation within the Bottom Hole Assembly. The articulation of the tools lower half takes place in a single plane through 12°. This articulation is pressure activated using the pressure drop through a nozzle or from the pressure drop through the tools below.
Used in conjunction with a rotary indexing tool the Kick-Over Knuckle Joint is an ideal tool for locating fish which are lying to one side of the wellbore. Unlike similar tools supplied by other companies, torque is transmitted through the main body of the tool rather than the screws, thereby increasing the torsional yield value.
